    Lawrence Tech football is a program that plays American football. The team is part of the NAIA Mid-States Football Association and represents the Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan. It plays home games at LTU Atheltic Field. The team is coached by Avante Mitchell.

    Duvendeck’s Decision to Coach at Lawrence Tech

    Coach Jeff Duvendeck has accepted the position of head football coach at Lawrence Tech football. He was previously the head coach of Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo., where he went 23-33 in six seasons. In addition, he made four trips to the playoffs. Lawrence Tech has reinstituted athletics in 2011, and Duvendeck hopes to attract students with strong scholastic credentials to the campus.

    Duvendeck has 16 years of coaching experience. He coached at various college and high school levels and most recently was the head coach of Culver-Stockton, an NAIA school in Missouri. Prior to that, he worked as a graduate assistant at Michigan State under Mark Dantonio. He also held the positions of offensive line coach and assistant football coach at Michigan Tech and Grand Valley State.

    Florence and Visnaw played high school football at Plymouth and Franklin High School. Both are mechanical engineers and had considered pursuing a career in engineering at other schools, but LTU administrators had decided to bring back the football team. Florence had originally planned to attend Michigan Tech University and play as a walk-on, but Duvendeck met with him and convinced him to switch.

    The Blue Devils will not play football for another year and a half, but their head coach has already determined what they’ll be like as a team. The team will be called the Blue Devils, and they compete in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference.

    The Lawrence Tech football program has a rich history of coaching and athletic director appointments. The athletic director, Whit Babcock, made the decision to make a change in the coaching staff. After the season ended, the Lawrence Tech athletic department announced the selection of Fuente, a former head coach.

    The Blue Devils’ defense has been solid all season, but the offense has struggled. The run game has been off-kilter as of late. Its four ball carriers combined for just 57 yards against IWU. Despite that, the Blue Devils had a strong defensive unit that forced four turnovers. Lawrence Tech has not scored a touchdown since its first game of the season.

    New Athletics & Training Center

    The Lawrence Tech football University is a private institution located in Southfield, Michigan. Originally established as the Lawrence Institute of Technology, the university relocated to Southfield in 1955 and has grown to encompass 107 acres. It is a leading research university in the state of Michigan.

    Currently, Lawrence Tech offers 25 NAIA athletic programs with more than 500 students involved. The football team will compete against all varsity teams in the fall of 2018. During the design process, the school engaged The Collaborative to perform an Athletic Facilities Master Plan. The university also requested fundraising graphics for the stadium and game day support areas. The Collaborative’s work led to the school moving forward with a phased construction schedule for the new facility.

    The athletics department plans to add 200 student-athletes to the campus by 2021. Lawrence Tech currently offers 11 men’s varsity sports, while offering 10 women’s sports. Recently, the football program has undergone a relaunch. The Taubman Center is the school’s center for innovative materials research.

    The new Athletics & Training Center will house the school’s outdoor athletic teams. The first floor will feature a two-story welcome lobby, a fully equipped strength training room, coaches’ and officials’ locker rooms, and general building storage. The second floor will house the team’s meeting rooms, athletic coaches suite, conference room, and a game-day VIP entertainment suite.

    The Lawrence Institute of Technology is a private university located in Southfield, Michigan. It was first founded in Highland Park, Michigan and relocated to Southfield in 1955. The school’s mission is to educate students through theory and practice. Hence, the school’s motto is “Theory and Practice.”

    Game-Day VIP Entertainment Suite

    The Lawrence Tech Football Game-Day VIP Entertainment Suite offers fans a unique opportunity to celebrate the team spirit on game day. Located on the second floor of the new football stadium, the suite features team meeting rooms, a conference room, and a private area for athletic coaches. The suite can accommodate up to 50 people, making it the ultimate game-day experience.

    The suite offers a comfortable and luxurious area for groups of ten to twenty fans. This gives everyone the opportunity to mingle and discuss the game without having to worry about being in a single row. It also features plush leather seating that offers added comfort. In addition, suites offer a separate entrance and entry, meaning you can be in your seat in less than 10 minutes.


    The Lawrence Technological University athletic program is currently in the process of updating the stadium where the Tigers play their football games. The new field, located on the Point section of campus, features an advanced playing surface made by AstroTurf, the company that created the synthetic turf industry. The stadium opened to competition last week, and the school is excited about the future it holds for its football program.

    Lawrence Tech football began offering football in 1932 and had teams until World War II, when many of the players left the school to serve in combat and manufacturing roles. Once the war ended, the team reformed, but student interest waned. Now, the school is addressing health concerns and costs related to the sport.

    In addition to the new football field, Lawrence Tech has also upgraded its other athletic facilities. The Lawrence Tech Blue Devil Stadium was built in 2016 and features an astroturf field. It also has a press box and temporary seating for approximately 2,500 fans. In addition, the Lawrence Tech Athletic Department has added a multi-sport playing field and new player amenities in the new stadium.

    The athletic department has added twenty-four varsity sports to its athletic facilities, including football. Other teams include baseball, softball, and women’s basketball. The athletic department also recently installed a new synthetic turf field for practice and intramural games. This has increased the school’s appeal to the community and to potential donors.

    Lawrence Tech athletics has a total of 449 student athletes. Their sports aid averages between $9,656 and $22,917 per student. The athletic department has 20 head coaches, including 11 men’s and nine women’s teams. The average salary of a men’s head coach is $52,196, while women’s coaches make an average of $44,152 a year.
